The Dermatology Foundation was a critical force in launching my career, providing me with early-stage research support when other peer-reviewed funding was harder to come by. I have been a supporter ever since. Virtually all of the innovations we use in the office-practice of dermatology, from lasers to novel therapeutic agents, to new tools for appearance-enhancing work, all started from investigators who the Dermatology Foundation funded. I can't emphasize enough how critical it is to support new talent in our field so that our patients, present and future, can benefit from advances like these.
